What to Expect

The worship service at St. Paul's is called a Liturgical Worship. This means that we follow a worship tradition that can trace its roots to worship services in synagogues.

What's a service like?

  • We use the Divine Service. The Divine Service is a form of liturgy, or an order of church. to learn more about the Divine Service, please click here.
  • We sing hymns (anceint and modern)
  • We hear the Word of God
  • Pastor explains and applies that word (Sermon), declaring the saving work of Jesus
  • We observe the Lord's Supper weekly

What's the music like?

  • We are blessed to sing from a Hymnal (a collection of songs).
  • Our hymns are accompanied by a piano.
  • We sing a variety of Traditional and Modern Hymns
  • Occasionally, our church choir will sing.

How people dress?

  • People come as they are. On any given Sunday we have people in suits to people in t-shirts. Come and be fed by Christ through his Word and Sacrament.

What about my kids?

  • St. Paul's love to see children in worship. We suggest that families with young children sit near the front because it is easier for children to see what is happening. We celebrate and support parents who work to teach their children about Jesus Christ and what he has done.

  • While we do not at this time have a staffed nursery, there is a cry room available in the back of the sanctuary. This can be an excellent resource, especially for parents of young children. However, we ask that you hurry back! We love for children to be part of the congregation. We believe in worshiping God as a body of all ages.

Can I take communion?

The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at St. Paul’s in the confession and glad confidence that our Lord, as He says, gives not only bread and wine, but His very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sin.  In joyful obedience to the clear teaching of our Lord Jesus, those are invited to His table who trust His words, repent of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as He forgives and loves us.  They show forth His death until He comes.

Because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this altar, any who are not yet instructed, in doubt, or who hold a confession differing from this congregation and The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and yet desire to receive the sacrament, are asked first to speak with the pastor or an elder.

How can I get connected?

  • Please call or e-mail the church with any questions you may have.
  • You can follow us on Facebook

Where do I park?

  • Parking is readily available in front of the church, in the church parking lot.
